Upload is not working, Browser jumps to another screen

Symptoms:

Under some configurations/versions of operating systems/browsers your browser may jump to another screen after choosing a file to upload.
Or you choose a file to upload, but the upload never happens.

Solution: In such cases the following steps usually work:

  1. Log out of BASEC, quit your webbrowser

  2. Clear your browser's cache and delete either all cookies or all cookies related to BASEC (it's easier to just clear all cookies, but this usually leads to a logout of all other online-systems you are currently logged in).
    If you don't know how to do this, please contact your local IT-support.

  3. Restart your webbrowser

  4. Go to the BASEC portal and log into your account

  5. Go to Manage my applications, click on Continue below your project

  6. Try again to upload/update your project
